3 DAY TOUR FROM MARRAKECH TO DESERT IN CHEGAGA

Climb into the High Atlas to explore mountain kasbahs and descend to Ait-Ben-Haddou and the Draa Valley’s rustling palms. You will get impressed by the huge sand dunes of Erg Chigaga appearing from the horizon,where we go for a camel ride to meet one of the most fascinating sand dunes.

Chegaga Aventure organises private tours to Chegiga desert. Drive through for miles enjoying the fascinating Berber villages. Visit the Universal heritage of Ait Ben Hadou Kasbah, a fortified village of the 11th century. Sleep in a traditional tent beneath Saharan stars and return to Marrakech through remote villages Perfect for all ages and skill level.

DAY BY DAY DETAILED PROGRAM:

DAY 1: MARRAKECH - TIZI N'TICHKA - AGDZ-ZAGORA:

Chegaga Aventure organises private Marrakech tour. Departure through a superb road crossing the high Atlas via the highest road pass, the Tizi n’Tichka (2260m). Lunch on the way, we cross the Tizi N’Tnifift pass to reach Agdz and the Draa Valley, and we continue on the off-road from Agdz through fortified villages and palm groves towards the oasis of Zagora. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.

DAY 2: ZAGORA - TAMGROUTE - M'HAMID - CHIGAGA:

After breakfast, we depart for M’hamid, we stop for a little visit in Tamgroute to see the Koranic library and the pottery manufacturing. Lunch in M’hamid in the camp, and excursion on the camels for about 2 hours before continuing on the 4x4 cars through the sandy off-road towards the big dunes of Chigaga. Sunset, dinner and overnight at the dunes.

DAY 3: CHEGAGA - LAC IRIQUI - FOUM ZGUID - TAZNAKHT - MARRAKECH:

Departure after breakfast and we take the way back to Marrakech through the off-road between Erg Chegaga and the dry bed of Drâa, crossing the dry Iriqui lake then Foum Zguid before continuing our road via Taznakhat and from there we take the highway to Marrakech.
